Scenic Walking Holidays: The New Name for Adventure & Explore Trips

At Large Outdoors, we’re excited to announce a new name for our Adventure & Explore trips: Scenic Walking Holidays. While the name has changed, everything you loved about these holidays remains the same. These trips focus on leisurely and leisurely plus walking that lets you explore beautiful locations in a relaxed, informal way. They’re all about low-level, coastal walks that give you time to take in the surroundings, whether that’s admiring local art, sampling the best tea and cakes, or exploring the unique cultural spots of each area.

Each Scenic Walking Holiday includes guided walks, accommodation, and transport between walks so that all you need to do is enjoy the journey. We design these trips to fit the group's interests, adapting to the weather and making room for spontaneous explorations. For example, you might visit Skye Weavers on the Isle of Skye or the Deerness Gin Distillery on Orkney, making your time on each holiday memorable and unique.

We made this name change to reflect the true nature of these trips more clearly. The previous name, Adventure & Explore, sometimes left people wondering what the focus was, so Scenic Walking Holidays now captures exactly what you can expect—a guided walking holiday with plenty of opportunities to soak up the scenery, enjoy relaxed walks, and discover the highlights of each location at a comfortable pace.

If you’re looking for something a bit more active and enjoy taking to the summits, then explore our Mountain Walking Holidays for more challenging walks with stunning views.
