What our customers say
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Join Large Outdoors on my own?
Yes. Most people Join Large Outdoors on their own, so you won't be the odd one out. Our trips are designed to be sociable, with the group walking and spending time together throughout the break.
What age are Large Outdoors trips for?
Our trips are for adults aged 18 and over, with guests from a wide range of ages. Rather than choosing a trip based on age, we recommend checking the walking grade and itinerary to find the right trip for you.
How difficult are the walks?
Every trip has a walking grade — Leisurely, Leisurely Plus, Active or Active Plus — along with information about distances, terrain and what to expect. Check the individual event page before booking.
Can I book my own room?
Yes, many of our walking holidays and breaks offer sole-occupancy rooms. Availability varies by trip and single rooms can sell out, so check the room options on the individual event page.
What's included in a Large Outdoors trip?
This varies by trip. Accommodation and guided walking are included on our residential breaks, with some trips also including meals and local transport. The individual event page clearly lists what's included before you book.
