Kickstart Your New Year with a Winter Walking Adventure

As we approach the end of the year, it’s easy to make New Year's resolutions and then struggle to keep them – we’ve all been there! But if your goals include getting outdoors, exploring more of the UK’s stunning landscapes, and making new friends along the way, we’ve got some fantastic winter trips to help you get started.

Walking in winter brings a special charm – crisp fresh air, the soft golden glow of the low sun through the trees, the comforting scent of wood smoke in the air, and the peaceful atmosphere of quieter landscapes, far from the summer crowds.

Here are some of the trips we have planned for this winter, perfect for both those new to weekend walking adventures and our more experienced members looking to discover new places.

New Year's Eve Adventures!

Why not kick off January with a bang? This year, we’re hosting fantastic New Year trips at three stunning locations: the Jurassic Coast and Isle of Purbeck, the North York Moors, and Pembrokeshire. Spend four nights celebrating in beautiful settings, enjoying walks through dramatic coastlines or across the rolling moors. Each location offers a blend of group walks, or you can choose to relax and take it easy, soaking up the New Year spirit with like-minded adventurers. Whether you're exploring the Jurassic Coast's iconic cliffs or the valleys and moors of North Yorkshire, you'll start the year on a high.

Surrounded by the rugged beauty of North Wales, these weekends combine rejuvenating yoga sessions with gentle walks through valleys and along lakeshores. Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of the high peaks dusted with snow before retreating to a cosy café or enjoying a quiet evening by the log-burning stove in one of our favourite places to stay. No prior yoga experience is needed, making this the perfect weekend to unwind after the festive season and step into the new year feeling refreshed and energised.
