How do we grade our walks?
Discover the Enchanting Grounds of Blenheim Palace: A Day of History, Nature, and Camaraderie!
Starting in the quaint village of Combe, we embark on a journey that delves deep into Britain's rich history. We'll saunter over to the North Leigh Roman Villa, one of the grandest ancient villas in the UK. While its famed mosaics remain elusive due to limited access, the mere aura of the villa promises a mesmerising encounter.
As we tread along the scenic Oxfordshire countryside, we'll trace the Oxfordshire way that coincides with the path of the ancient Roman road, Akeman Street. A beautiful blend of nature and history awaits as we set foot on the majestic grounds of Blenheim Palace. And while we won't venture into its intricate gardens or opulent house, the expansive parklands will unveil their charm, culminating in the iconic Column of Victory for that picture-perfect moment.
Amid the whispers of the High Park woodlands, our day ends on a high as we circle back to Combe. Guided by an expert who knows every story and secret of these lands, and surrounded by a delightful group of outdoor enthusiasts, this promises to be more than just a walk – it's an experience!
