Gallery - Signature - Exmoor Coast Lighthouse Experience
A lovely group of 10 adventurers headed to the Exmoor National Park for a three night stay in quite possibly our most spectacular setting. Our base was a National Trust Cottage called Foreland Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, as the name suggests it was in an 100 year old lighthouse with stunning sea views.
Saturday morning saw us head out and explore the South West Coast Path, direct from the door, plan was simple, Saturday head south and Sunday head north. Saturday’s walk was rather hilly but included a lovely stop in Lynmouth. Before heading up the Lyn valley to Watersmeet and a rather delightful National Trust tea room.
On Sunday we headed north along the coast and enjoyed a more rugged and remote part of the Exmoor coast before we headed to the local pub for a well deserved drink in front of a roaring fire and a delightful pub dinner.
For Monday we headed down the coast to Lynmouth before riding the famous funicular railway to Lynton, the weather was not the greatest today with strong winds and rain so only a short walk before a final lunch in a lovely little cafe in Lynmouth harbour.
